REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

Sidewinder Lacrosse Inc. Event Series
Tournament Refund & Cancellation Policy

Pre-Tournament Cancellation Policy – Applies to Team Registrations in Tournaments and Individual registrations in showcases, training, camps, clinics, etc. referred to as registrant throughout this document.

  1. Event Withdrawal Request – Timeline and Policy:

    1. At Least 30 Days Prior to Event: In the event a registered team or individual (“registrant”)withdrawals their registration at least 30 days prior to the event start date, the registrant will receive a refund of the balance paid above the non-refundable deposit. In addition, Sidewinder Lacrosse Inc. will apply the non-refundable deposit as a credit towards a future Victory Event Series event.

    2. At Least 14 Days Prior to the Event: In the event a registered team or individual (“registrant”) withdrawals their registration 14-29 days prior to the event start date, the registrant will receive a Sidewinder Lacrosse Inc. credit to their account of the balance paid above the non-refundable deposit. The registrant will forfeit their event deposit.

    3. Less than 14 Days Prior to the Event: In the event, a registered team or individual (“registrant”) withdrawals their registration within 14 days of the event start date, the registrant will forfeit 100% of their registration. Sidewinder Lacrosse Inc. will not honor refund requests received within 14 days prior to the event start date.

    4. COVID-19 Issue Prior to the Event: In the event, a registered team or individual (“registrant”) withdrawals their registration less than 7 days prior to the event start date, due to COVID-19 reasons, the registrant will be required to submit documentation from a physician confirming the issue. Registrant will receive a refund to their account of the balance. The registrant will forfeit their event deposit.

Event Cancellation Refund Policy

  1. Pre-Event Cancellation: In the event, Sidewinder Lacrosse Inc. cancels a scheduled event prior to the start of the event, all registrants will receive a refund of their balance paid in addition to the non-refundable deposit.

  2. COVID-19 Event Cancellation: In the event, Sidewinder Lacrosse Inc. must cancel the scheduled event prior to the start of the event, due to state and local authorities request, all registrants will receive a refund of their balance paid in addition to the non-refundable deposit. 

  3. During-event Cancellation: In the event, Sidewinder Lacrosse Inc. cancels only part of a scheduled event (i.e. half-day of one day or one day of a two-day tournament), the refund policy will depend on the number of completed games as outlined below:

  1. Teams who have completed two or more games are not eligible for a refund and forfeit 100% of their registration fee.

  2. Teams who have completed less than two games will receive a refund of their balance paid above the non-refundable deposit. Additionally, Sidewinder Lacrosse Inc. will apply the non-refundable deposit, less partial or completed game fees, as a credit to the registrant's account for a future Sidewinder Lacrosse event.

  3.  Sidewinder Lacrosse Inc. reserves the right to adjust game times, shorten games, or reschedule the tournament if it deems it to be in the best interest of all registrants involved in an effort to complete as much of the event as possible.

  4. Sidewinder Lacrosse Inc. will do their best to refund coaches in a timely manner, following any event cancellations in accordance with the policies outlined above.

Severe Weather Information

  1. For the safety of all participants, the tournament staff, and by default the facility staff reserve the right to cancel, delay or interrupt play until the weather clears and is deemed safe. Interrupted games will continue where they left off. All officials are expected to use their discretion and follow safety rules to stop or suspend games for appropriate intervals until it is deemed safe by staff and officials. Play will be stopped for at least 30 minutes following a lightning strike or thunder.

  2. In the event of severe weather, players, coaches, and spectators should retreat to their vehicles. Refrain from waiting under pop-up tents and trees. If the event does not provide any or enough indoor shelter for all event participants and spectators, vacate fields and remain in vehicles until the weather is safe.
